About Parc des Princes

The Parc des Princes is an all-seater football stadium in Paris, France. It is located in the south-west of the French capital, inside the 16th arrondissement, near the Stade Jean-Bouin and Stade Roland Garros. The stadium, with a seating capacity of 47,929, has been the home of Paris Saint-Germain since 1974.

The current Parc des Princes built in 1972 is the third stadium to have been built on the site. It was designed by architect Roger Taillibert. The stadium is known for its unique "razor" concrete ribs that support the roof and provide excellent acoustics. It was the national stadium of France before the construction of the Stade de France.

It has hosted matches for the 1938 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and Euro 1984 and 2016. The close proximity of the stands to the pitch creates an intimidating atmosphere, particularly from the "Virage Auteuil" ultras. It remains one of the most atmospheric grounds in French football.
