About AT&T Stadium
AT&T Stadium, formerly Cowboys Stadium, is a retractable roof stadium in Arlington, Texas. It serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL) and was completed on May 27, 2009. The facility is colloquially referred to as "Jerry World" after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who envisioned it as a large entertainment mecca.
The stadium seats 80,000, making it the fourth largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity, but can be reconfigured to hold around 100,000 seats. Its defining feature is the massive high-definition video board, one of the largest in the world, which hangs from 20-yard line to 20-yard line. The retractable glass doors at each end zone are the largest in the world.
AT&T Stadium has hosted Super Bowl XLV, the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, and numerous college football championship games. The stadium's architecture features two colossal arches that span the entire length of the dome, supporting the roof and the video board, making it an engineering marvel visible for miles.
